How Will a Support Group Help You?
Any experience related to a cardiac condition – whether you recently learned you have heart disease or are recovering from a heart attack, stroke or surgery – can leave you feeling overwhelmed and isolated. Our support groups provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can connect with other patients who are working through similar issues, from dealing with the trauma of a major cardiac event to making healthy lifestyle changes, such as losing weight or quitting smoking. Other beneficial factors of joining an education and support group include:
