Can medicines help me lower my stress level?

Medications have often been an easy route when it comes to combating anxiety and stress in individuals. They may take a few weeks to kick in, but they can work wonders for the right people. When compared to therapy methods, stress-reducing medications are often faster. Unfortunately, such medications usually have a few downsides. When it comes to coping with anxiety or stress in the future, medication can severely decrease your chances of coping. If you take such medication for anything besides stress or anxiety, the results are often drastic and problematic.
Medication is not inherently evil, but all mental health drugs tend to have their downsides. You should consult a doctor before taking or requesting any form of medication to ensure you are capable of coping with the side effects and potential issues. Dependency is quite common with stress-relieving medication.
