How do I avoid triggers for sudden heart failure?

It’s certainly possible that sudden heart failure can be prevented or stalled by avoiding certain triggers. A variety of triggers can cause heart failure; here are just a few of them:

  • Over-exercising, or exercising when you shouldn’t be. If you find yourself constantly out of breath or dizzy during exercise, this could be a sign that you should decrease your exercise activity.
  • Eating too much sodium. You should be aware of how much sodium is included in your daily diet and beverage intake – it can be easy to overdose on sodium, which could spell heart failure.
  • Not taking your medicines. If you’ve been prescribed mandatory medications by your doctor, it’s important to take them, or you may risk heart failure.
